Constructor University, formerly known as Jacobs University Bremen, is an international, private, residential research university located in the Vegesack district of Bremen, Germany. Founded in 1999 with the support of the University of Bremen, Rice University in Houston, and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, the university welcomed its first students in 2001 and has since grown into one of Germany's most internationally diverse institutions.
