Massage Therapy

The Massage Therapy program is geared towards those individuals with an interest in health care and helping people, an aptitude for science and problem solving, and direct hands-on application of skills. This three-year advanced diploma is designed to meet the educational requirements for certification, through examination, as a Registered Massage Therapist by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. This fully-integrated program covers the basic biological sciences such as anatomy and physiology, massage therapy specific knowledge and skills, and clinical reasoning and therapeutic decision making. The Massage Therapy program at Conestoga College has been granted Preliminary Accreditation by the Canadian Massage Therapy Council for Accreditation (CMTCA). Following a site visit to verify compliance with the standards, CMTCA will issue a final accreditation decision.
