Speech and Language Therapy

Our Department’s main goal in this program, which is in Turkish, is to provide the students with the necessary clinical skills as well as theoretical knowledge to enable them reach the competencies required in this field of work. The most valuable part of the program is the practical experience students gain at the Biruni SLP Department’s Speech and Language Therapy Clinics. As educators, we constantly strive to prepare highly competent graduates who can work effectively with a variety of patients in clinical settings. The graduates who have successfully completed the four-year undergraduate program can begin to practice this profession with the title of “speech and language therapist” as a member of health professionals in our country. Speech and language therapy is a rapidly growing field and therapists are in demand. Earning a speech and language therapy Bachelor’s degree provides in Turkey, the credentials required to enter this rapidly growing field. Another goal of the education is to provide the necessary academic foundation for the students in order to create an option to continue their education with postgraduate programs, gaining expertise at a higher level.
