About the Program
The Interior Design Program at İstanbul Bilgi University is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled interior designers in response to rapid advancements in design, construction, and manufacturing. As industries evolve, there is an increasing need for professionals who can create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative interior spaces. BİLGİ Interior Design stays at the forefront of these developments, continuously adapting its curriculum and teaching methodologies to align with contemporary design trends and global industry standards.
The program follows an interdisciplinary educational approach that integrates theory with hands-on practice, ensuring that students gain both creative and technical expertise. A strong emphasis is placed on design studios and workshops, where students engage in real-world projects that foster problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and technical proficiency. These studios serve as the core of the educational experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice by exposing students to industry-relevant challenges and methodologies.
Students also receive comprehensive training in modern materials, construction methods, and advanced manufacturing technologies, which are essential components of interior design today. With a strong focus on computational design and digital fabrication, the program introduces students to cutting-edge tools and software that enhance their ability to conceptualize and execute designs efficiently. This fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary technology equips graduates with the skills required to thrive in an increasingly digital and dynamic design industry.
Through a curriculum rooted in innovation, sustainability, and user-centered design, the BİLGİ Interior Design Program prepares students for diverse career paths in residential, commercial, hospitality, and public space design. Graduates will emerge as well-rounded professionals ready to contribute to the evolving landscape of interior architecture and design.
