Software Engineering

The primary objective of the Software Engineering Department is to raise engineers who can analyze and resolve software problems through interdisciplinary work in all areas—ranging from medical diagnosis and treatment applications to banking, from engineering to social sciences, and from telecommunications applications to the service sector, arts, and statistical studies.

The department's curricula have been organized by utilizing the SWEBOK 2004 guide, which is an international standard supported by the IEEE. This alignment ensures that our students receive an education that meets global professional benchmarks. Furthermore, to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practice, students are required to complete a mandatory software internship of 40 working days.

The duration of education in the Software Engineering Department is four years, and the medium of instruction is Turkish. To support students who wish to enhance their linguistic skills for the global tech market, there is an opportunity to attend an optional English Preparatory Class. This structure allows students to master complex engineering concepts in their native language while providing the flexibility to develop international communication proficiency.
