The Department of Logistics Management offers a rigorous 4-year undergraduate program designed to train competent and analytical professionals who can effectively manage the complex processes involved in the movement of goods, services, and information throughout the supply chain. With globalization and technological advancements reshaping the logistics industry, the need for professionals who can optimize logistics operations and contribute to strategic decision-making is greater than ever.
The program equips students with a solid foundation in logistics and supply chain management, covering key areas such as inventory control, warehousing, transportation systems, procurement, customs regulations, risk management, international trade, insurance, and logistics planning. Emphasis is placed on both theoretical knowledge and practical applications, ensuring that graduates are capable of addressing real-world logistics challenges in various sectors.
Courses are designed to foster analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, while also promoting a strong understanding of digital tools and technologies that are reshaping the logistics landscape, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), logistics information systems, and data analytics. Students also gain insights into the legal and ethical dimensions of logistics operations and global trade.
The language of instruction in the department is mixed, with 30% of the curriculum taught in English and 70% in Turkish, preparing students to work in international environments. English preparatory education is mandatory, ensuring that all students have the language proficiency needed to follow coursework and access global academic resources.
Throughout the program, students benefit from internship opportunities, sectoral collaborations, field visits, and industry guest lectures, which bridge the gap between academic knowledge and business practice. These experiences enable students to build professional networks and gain practical skills that are highly valued by employers.
Graduates of the Logistics Management program are well-prepared to pursue careers in a wide range of fields, including logistics and transportation companies, manufacturing firms, retail chains, shipping companies, import/export businesses, customs consultancy, and supply chain departments of multinational corporations. They may also choose to continue their studies at the graduate level in related disciplines.
In a world where efficiency, speed, and coordination are critical, the Department of Logistics Management empowers students to become innovative, strategic, and adaptable logistics professionals capable of leading change and improving performance in a globally connected economy.
