Industrial Design (English) Program Overview
The Industrial Design program at Beykent University is a four-year English-taught undergraduate program housed within the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture. It educates inquiring and investigative prospective designers with high communication skills who follow the latest developments globally, possess teamwork abilities, and are open to multidisciplinary collaboration.
Industrial designers create aesthetical and logical solutions using creative thinking skills, considering user needs and expectations, production processes, product identity, social norms, consequences of global interaction, and different aspects of sustainability. A compulsory English Preparatory Programme ensures all students are fully prepared for English-medium instruction, with exemptions available through the Placement and Proficiency Test.

Design Theories and History
Core ModuleProvides a comprehensive overview of design movements, semiotics, and theoretical frameworks that inform contemporary design practice. Includes study of design history and cultural contexts.
Model Making and Visualization
Core ModuleHands-on courses conducted in the department's model workshop and computer labs, developing skills in physical prototyping, technical drawing, digital rendering, and computer-aided design.
Product Development and Design Management
Core ModuleFocuses on the complete product life cycle from concept to market, including design management principles, project planning, and the integration of design within business and marketing strategies.
