English Translation and Interpretation

The primary goal of the English Translation and Interpretation department is to raise qualified translators and interpreters who are equipped with strong oral and written expression capabilities. In an increasingly interconnected world, our students are expected to have a comprehensive command of both English and Turkish, ensuring that every translation is accurate, fluent, and professional. Due to the high standards of linguistic proficiency required, English preparatory education is mandatory for all students. However, the department provides an accelerated path for those who already possess advanced skills; students who are admitted to the department can bypass the English Preparatory Class and begin their formal studies directly from the first year, provided they demonstrate their competence by succeeding in the Placement and Proficiency Exam. This rigorous academic framework ensures that every graduate is fully prepared for the challenges of the international translation and interpretation industry.
