
Economics and Finance (Thesis)

The thesis-based Master of Economics and Finance program is designed to deepen students’ theoretical and applied knowledge in economics and finance while equipping them with the academic skills necessary for independent research and advanced professional practice. The curriculum fosters analytical and systematic thinking, integrates theoretical concepts with practical applications, and develops effective communication, teamwork, and independent research capabilities. Students are trained to present academic work in national and international forums and to embrace lifelong learning. Emphasis is placed on ethical responsibility, cultural awareness, and environmental sensitivity. Graduates are prepared for careers as analysts or economists in private and public sector organizations, as well as for doctoral studies. The program contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4, 8, 12, 16). Admission requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum ALES score of 55 in the relevant score type (or equivalent GRE/GMAT), with evaluation calculated as 70% ALES and 30% undergraduate GPA. Instruction is delivered in Turkish.
