Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a public technological university located in the west and northwest of Ireland. It was formally established on 1 April 2022 through the merger of three institutes of technology: Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT), Institute of Technology Sligo (IT Sligo), and Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT), making it the fourth technological university in Ireland.
With a student population of over 20,000 supported by more than 2,200 staff, ATU is one of the largest multi-campus universities in Ireland.
