Program Overview: BSc (Hons) Computing with Foundation Year

The BSc (Hons) Computing with Foundation Year at Arden University equips you with essential technical skills and academic tools to excel in computing and beyond. The integrated foundation year is designed for students who need additional support before starting their degree, whether you have been out of education for some time or do not hold traditional entry qualifications.

As you progress through the program, you will explore advanced computing concepts and master practical skills needed to meet the demands of today's ever-evolving computing landscape. The curriculum covers highly sought-after skills including programming in Java, Python, and PHP, web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, databases using MySQL, cloud computing, cyber security, data analysis, human-computer interaction, and computing ethics.

You can tailor your learning by choosing between two specialised pathways: a technical pathway focusing on data mining, analysis, and programming, or an information systems pathway combining technical know-how with management strategy. Throughout the program, you will build a professional portfolio through hands-on coding, database creation, web development, and data analysis projects.

Key Program Highlights
