Midwifery BSc

We start by exploring maternity care and the roles and responsibilities of the midwife. You’ll also begin to learn basic midwifery skills on placement.

Placements happen throughout your course and you’ll continue to hone your skills in assessing women and babies, communicating with families, and providing care for more complex needs. We’ll also look at working in emergency or high-risk situations, medicine calculations, and Newborn Infant Physical Examination (NIPE).
