The field of psychology contributes to society from different perspectives due to its different sub-branches and suitability for interdisciplinary work. Psychology studies offer solutions to better understand the needs of individuals, groups and organizations and to meet these needs. Psychologists' studies respond to many different needs such as understanding social events, resolving intergroup conflicts, increasing peace and job satisfaction in the workplace, evaluating and treating individuals in need of psychological support, increasing the motivation and success of athletes, evaluating and rehabilitating individuals involved in crime, and determining the status of individuals with cognitive function loss.

Psychology undergraduate education provides students with theoretical knowledge about the basic subfields of psychology and basic research methods and statistics required to conduct a scientific study. Psychology graduates have basic knowledge about the field of psychology. Psychology graduates who want to specialize in any subfield of psychology can complete their master's and doctorate degrees by focusing on the field they are interested in. Those who want to can complete their specialization and become practitioners or complete their doctorates and become researchers or academics.

Acıbadem University English Psychology Department was established in the 2020-2021 academic year and is a very young department that aims to provide its students with professional and academic competencies at the highest level. The department, which will complete the accreditation requirements as soon as possible without compromising on education and training standards, will apply to be accredited by the Turkish Psychologists Association authorized by YÖK. The English Psychology Department, which has been providing education in Turkish since its establishment and sees the Acıbadem University Psychology Department, which was accredited in 2021, as a guide, takes the same standards as an example and has an academic staff who believe in ethical and scientific principles, are experts in their fields and teach in their field of expertise. With its constantly developing academic staff and infrastructure opportunities, it aims to be among the leading and respected psychology departments in our country.

Our English curriculum, which is run in parallel with the Turkish program, also includes a comprehensive elective course pool that will help students get to know different subfields of psychology. In this way, students are supported to realize their own interests and shape their careers accordingly. Thanks to our curriculum, which is created entirely in English, current and universal scientific standards are followed not only for Turkish-speaking students but also for international students.
