Agricultural and Food Economics

The Master of Science degree program in Agricultural and Food Economics (AFECO) at the University of Bonn provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to analyze and further develop economic activities. This includes examining associated policies along the entire food value chain, i.e. from farming to processing, trade and consumption. Active learning through participation in research projects is an integral part of the curriculum. Students in this international degree program benefit from excellent teaching that qualifies graduates for diverse managing roles in private businesses, public administration and research institutions. The MSc AFECO is part of two international double degree programs: the BOWACO degree (in cooperation with Wageningen University) and the AFEPA degree (with partners from Belgium, Italy and Sweden). If desired, students can apply for BOWACO or AFEPA during their first semester in AFECO. They can also apply directly for AFEPA before starting their Master's degree.
