The IZU Faculty of Islamic Sciences, which started accepting students in the 2013-2014 academic year, offers an undergraduate program with a 30% Arabic emphasis. Our faculty aims to train qualified, well-equipped and multilingual theologians by combining the Islamic scientific tradition with contemporary academic methods. In this context, it aims to provide its students with the classical scientific knowledge as well as the ability to approach current religious and social issues with a critical and constructive perspective. The duration of education is four years after the one-year compulsory Arabic preparatory class. The preparatory education, which is reinforced with supportive programs organized domestically and abroad, is carried out by Turkish and foreign academic staff who are experts in their fields. Our faculty students also have the right to receive a second foreign language education within our university.

Our students can participate in Double Major and Minor Programs, and students studying in different faculties can also join the Faculty of Islamic Sciences program. In addition, within the scope of international exchange programs, our students are offered the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters. Our faculty also operates in accordance with the decisions of the university senate and the relevant board regarding the acceptance of international students.
