The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is a public university based in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1994 and opening in 1996 as the Sunshine Coast University College with just 524 students, it gained full university status in 1998 and was renamed to its current title in 1999.

UniSC is the first greenfield university established in Australia since 1971, created to serve the growing population of the Sunshine Coast region north of Brisbane. It is the world's only university with campuses on three connecting UNESCO biosphere reserves and the World Heritage Listed K'gari (formerly Fraser Island).

Today, UniSC offers more than 140 programs across five schools, with flexible study options from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. The university is recognised for its supportive learning environment, five-star teaching quality ratings in the Good Universities Guide, and research focused on healthy people and a healthy planet.
