Global Sustainable Development, MSc
Medway Campus, United Kingdom
Overview
Despite progress in global development, about 735 million people faced hunger in 2022, up by 122 million since 2019. The degradation of natural resources—land, water, forests, and biodiversity—continues alarmingly, exacerbated by climate change and conflicts. Addressing these challenges requires sustainable development and Transformative Change (TC)—systemic, large-scale shifts that reconfigure technology, economy, institutions, and society. Greenwich's Global Sustainable Development MSc offers an in-depth understanding of Development Studies, exploring various aspects of human, societal, and environmental changes. Drawing on real-world lessons from multiple domains and sectors, students will build the capacity to critically discuss, analyze, and evaluate sustainable development and TC. The program enhances hands-on skills in sustainable development design, project management, research, and impact evaluation, along with systems modeling and software familiarity.
