German Studies

The BA program in German Studies is designed to last six semesters. Students can begin in either the winter or summer semester. Augsburg's BA programs each consist of a major and a minor.

The program is modular in structure. The modules consist of introductory courses, lectures, seminars, and exercises. Each module is graded; the final grade is the sum of the grades for the individual modules.

 Depending on the workload, a certain number of credit points (CP) is awarded for each module. A total of 90 CP must be earned in the major subject and 60 CP in the minor subject. Additionally, 30 CP must be earned in a free elective area, which offers the opportunity for independent profile development and specialization.
