Overview
The Master of Science in Plant Pathology prepares you for careers in agency, industry and academic institutions that require a solid background in microbial science and experience with research techniques and experimental design. You will receive training in the microbial sciences and in-depth research opportunities in molecular, genetic, genomic or ecological aspects of microbes. Core coursework includes cross-training in basic plant science, while elective coursework deepens your expertise in areas related to your research direction. You will be required to develop and execute a novel research project and disseminate your results through a master's thesis and potentially a scientific publication.
Graduate College Admissions Requirements
Minimum graduate admissions requirements* for Master’s and Doctoral degree seeking:
