Université Grenoble Alpes

2020

• Creation of the experimental public establishment "Université Grenoble Alpes" integrating Grenoble INP, Sciences Po Grenoble and the National School of Architecture of Grenoble (Ensag) as component establishments.
• Creation of the University School of Technology, the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Humanities, Health, Sport, and Society. Merger of the Grenoble Alpes University Community (COMUE) with the new establishment.

2016

• Merger of the three Grenoble universities: Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble 1, UJF), Pierre-Mendès-France University (Grenoble 2, UPMF), Stendhal University (Grenoble 3). The new university is now called Grenoble Alpes University.

2014

• March: Deployment of the common scientific signature. Integration of research centers.
• December: abolition of the research and higher education center (Pres) and creation of the Grenoble Alpes University Community (Comue).

2009

• Creation of the research and higher education center (Pres) University of Grenoble: implementation of the campus operation, integration of the doctoral college.

1992

• Creation of the public interest group (GIP) Grenoble European university and scientific center.

1989

• Opening of the Valence Centre of Stendhal University.

1972

• First inter-establishment structure dedicated to campus management.
• Creation of the Grenoble University Press (Pug).
