As a Human Development and Family Sciences major, you will...

• Discover how to improve the lives of individuals, families, and communities across the life course and within social and cultural contexts.
• Gain knowledge related to development across the lifespan, family relationships, family and cultural diversity, statistics and research methods, program administration, guidance, and developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Learn to use multidisciplinary approaches, cutting-edge methodologies, and research to help children, youth, and families succeed.
• Participate at the Texas State Child Development Center, a research and teaching practicum site for students interested in working with young children and their families.
