Public Health – Community Health Worker
St. Catherine University Campus, United States
Overview
Our public health degree is the first of its kind in Minnesota, prepares students for employment in public health, strengthens the background of health professionals who are interested in public health practice areas, and provides an excellent foundation for students who are interested in pursuing graduate study in public health or related areas. We emphasize social justice and work with academic and community partners near and far to make a difference. Students will complete seven core public health courses and a minimum of six additional courses in a specific concentration. St. Kate's offers three concentrations for the public health major: health sciences, public policy, and community health worker. St. Kate's offers the opportunity to apply a student's liberal arts education to our unique 3+ dual degree programs in five options: Master of Arts in Holistic Health Studies, Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy, Doctor of Occupational Therapy-Entry Level, Master of Public Health or Doctor of Physical Therapy. The dual degree program allows students to complete their bachelor's degree while pursuing a graduate degree.
