In your final year, choose to specialize in either hotel, or tourism to align your education with your career and research aspirations.
Option 1: Hotel specialization
Calling all future hoteliers! If you thrive with providing exceptional service and love to make difference in people's lives, the Hotel specialization is for you.
This option teaches you the financial and operational skills that will allow you to thrive in the exciting hotel sector.
Through applied research using case studies and hotel analytics, you’ll learn about trends and innovations that hotels are making around the world to help transform these properties to meet the challenges of the modern society.
Option 2: Tourism specialization
Do you love to travel? Are you someone who enjoys taking tours and learning about cultures, or exploring new activities? Then the Tourism specialization is for you!
Learn about how communities develop policies to support tourism and use their resources to promote their destinations. Learn how tourism evolves to meet the demands of a global audience and helps communities transform and thrive.
What you’ll study
Learn about intercultural communication and management, financial analysis and how to co-create value with guests.
Study international hotel and global tourism trends, entrepreneurship, policy and planning, competitive analysis, digital communications, sustainability in tourism and hospitality, and more.

As part of your degree, you’ll engage in a paid internship that fits your career goals, gaining valuable hands-on experience while building your professional network.
We have a 100% internship rate, where you’ll work directly with an internship advisor and your hotel or tourism manager to thrive in your environment.
Take part in other experiential learning opportunities
Experience the hotel and tourism industry firsthand through site visits, field trips and guest presentations from industry experts in the classroom.
You may also choose to go further abroad by selecting a semester exchange at one of our partner institutions across the globe, or by being selected to attend the Young Hospitality Summit hosted annually in Switzerland.
