The Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (AIDA PBC) at Red Deer Polytechnic is designed for graduates who hold a four-year degree and want to add machine-learning and data analytics skills to their existing qualifications. This program prepares you to be a creative problem solver ready to work in a world driven by big data, cloud computing, and rapidly evolving technology.
Throughout the program, you will learn the complete machine learning and data analytics lifecycle, from data mining, text scraping, and sensor data collection to data preprocessing, exploratory analysis, and data storytelling. You will also develop machine learning algorithms and data systems, and learn to deploy models with security in mind.
Upon graduation, you will possess the skills to perform data engineering and visualization, and design artificial intelligence solutions that enhance productivity across a variety of industries. The non-co-op program is completed over three terms in 1.5 years, while the Co-op Specialization extends to four terms over 2 years and is eligible for a 3-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

The AIDA PBC curriculum covers the entire data analytics and machine learning pipeline through a structured sequence of courses over three terms. Develop skills in cleaning, transforming, and preparing datasets, and conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and insights.
