Poznan University of Technology (PUT), known in Polish as Politechnika Poznańska, is a leading public technical university located in Poznań, Poland. With roots dating back to 1919 when the State Higher School of Mechanical Engineering was established, PUT has over a century of experience in educating engineers and researchers across a wide range of technical disciplines.
Today, PUT is a nine-faculty institution offering 33 fields of study and over 100 specializations to approximately 16,000 students, supported by more than 1,300 academic staff. The university provides Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate courses in both Polish and English, with 7 first-cycle and 12 second-cycle programs taught entirely in English for international students.
PUT is the leader of the EUNICE (European University for Customised Education) alliance, an ambitious European Commission project bringing together universities across Europe to build a common university of the future. In 1995, it became the first Polish technical university to join CESAER, the Conference of European Schools for Advanced Engineering Education and Research.
