Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) is the largest specialized university for social sciences and humanities in Lithuania, with campuses in Vilnius, Kaunas, and Marijampolė. Named after the patriarch of Lithuania's Constitutional Law, Professor Mykolas Romeris (1880–1945), the university is dedicated to advancing democracy, transparency, human dignity, and inclusivity.

MRU offers over 100 study programmes at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels in both Lithuanian and English. With 95% of its academic portfolio focused on social sciences, the university has earned recognition as one of the top 250 universities globally for law studies according to QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The university is a member of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) and cooperates closely with over 300 universities, public and private institutions worldwide. About 500 students each year participate in international exchange programmes via Erasmus+, Nordplus, and other mobility schemes, making MRU one of the most international universities in Lithuania.

MRU Academic Excellence Scholarship

Awarded to the best-performing students each semester based on weighted grade averages. Students with a minimum weighted average of 8.0 points are eligible for tuition fee reductions of up to 50% or full exemption.

  • Eligibility: Undergraduate and graduate students with GPA of 8.0+
  • Amount: From 2 to 30 BSI (1 BSI = EUR 39)
  • Frequency: Awarded twice per year (each semester)

Lithuanian Government Scholarship

The Lithuanian Government provides scholarships for international students from specific countries. Additional partial tuition scholarships are available for students from Ukraine and Belarus studying in English-taught programmes.
