Banking and Finance (Turkish) - Thesis Program
Tuzla Campus, Turkey
Overview
Purpose of the Program
The finance sector is a sector that develops in parallel with the development of economy and trade, but can be expressed with greater multipliers in terms of the value it creates quantitatively. In this sense, the finance field has an interdisciplinary structure, but with the rapid development and expansion of this field, it has become an area of expertise that can be addressed on its own. In recent years, the development of financial markets and the diversification of financial instruments have brought new financial management techniques to the agenda, on the one hand, and increased the importance of financial risk management by increasing the risks and uncertainties in this area. The monetary amount of the transaction volume in international financial markets has exceeded the monetary amount of transactions in goods and services markets by many times.
In order to understand these financial developments in today's world, it is necessary to address the effects of financial activities on the functioning of the economy and economic policy on a scientific basis. This requirement can only be met by the Banking and Finance Master's Program, which is a balanced program consisting of finance theory, quantitative methods and related real sector applications. The Banking and Finance Master's Program is designed within an interdisciplinary structure and aims to train experts who understand, predict, analyze and offer solution suggestions for economic developments in today's world. In addition, the increasing need for qualified personnel with the capacity to analyze in the finance sector, especially in the individual retirement and insurance sectors, can be considered as the most concrete indicators indicating the contribution of the proposed program.
