Artificial Intelligence Engineering (Turkish) - Non Thesis Program

Purpose of the Program

The aim of the program is to provide scientific and technical knowledge on the design and development of computer software in the field of Artificial Intelligence Engineering, to train research engineers who can follow the developments in this field and compete in international environments, who know a foreign language, and who have analytical thinking, problem solving and modeling skills to be able to make designs and produce solutions in accordance with the requirements of technology.

The Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering at our university provides education in open classes on weekday evenings and weekends in the Kadıköy and Tuzla campuses, with a strong computer network infrastructure, new computer laboratories with the latest technology, and fully equipped classrooms.

Our training program has been prepared by taking into account the realities, expectations and needs that our graduates will encounter in business life and is carried out by experienced faculty members who have a say in this field.

We believe that our students will take their place as preferred Artificial Intelligence Engineers in the IT world with their strong theoretical knowledge and the practical experience they gain.

Structure of the Program

Non-thesis Program

Graduates of Computer Engineering, Software Engineering and Computer Systems and Technologies departments can start the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Thesis Master's Program without the GPA requirement and on condition that they meet the other requirements.

Graduates with a Computer Programming Associate Degree and a GPA of at least 2.5 out of 4 from all other departments of Engineering Faculties and Technology Faculties, as well as the Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics Departments of Science Faculties and the Computer Education Departments of Education Faculties can apply. Students who graduated from departments other than Computer Engineering will be able to start the Master's Program provided that they pass all the courses in the Scientific Preparatory Program recommended to them. The time spent in the Scientific Preparatory Program is not included in the Master's Education period.

In the Non-Thesis Master's Program, it is mandatory to take and pass at least 10 elective courses, a total of at least 30 credits - 90 ECTS, including the seminar and graduation project compulsory courses.

Application Conditions and Required Documents

• Undergraduate Graduation Certificate (Original document, notarized copy or graduation certificate obtained from the E-Government system)
• ALES exam document (Only for thesis programs - minimum 55 numerical points)
• A score of at least 55 out of 100 from one of the English foreign language exams (YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, e-YÖKDİL) administered by ÖSYM.
• Foreign Language Certificate (YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, e-YÖKDİL, minimum 55)
• Transcript; original or a copy approved by the university from which you graduated
• Copy of ID Card, Notarized Copy or Document Received via E-Government
• Military Status Certificate for Male Candidates
• 1 passport size photo
• Residence and Criminal Record (E-Government)
• For Graduates from Universities Abroad; Original or certified copy of the equivalence certificate received from the Council of Higher Education and/or a certificate of recognition issued by the Council of Higher Education.
• Filling out the TC Istanbul Okan University Master's Degree application form
