Drawing and Figure Studies

Develops observational drawing skills through figure studies, still life, and perspective exercises. Students build a strong technical foundation in line, form, tone, and composition.

Painting and Painting Techniques

Explores oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting techniques across traditional and contemporary approaches. Emphasis is placed on color theory, surface quality, and personal expression.

Graphics and Graphic Techniques

7 ECTS

Covers printmaking methods including lithography, screen printing, and etching. Students learn to create original editions and explore the relationship between image reproduction and fine art.

Sculpture and Three-Dimensional Art

7 ECTS

Introduces modeling, carving, and assemblage techniques using diverse materials. Students develop spatial awareness and learn to create three-dimensional works for gallery and public contexts.

Digital Art

5 ECTS

Introduces principles of digital painting using Adobe creative programs. The course develops professional visual sensitivity and competency in art communication through computer-based design processes.

Art History and Critical Theory

Surveys major art movements from antiquity to the contemporary era, emphasizing critical analysis and contextual understanding. Students learn to position their own practice within broader art historical narratives.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Visual Arts bachelor's program at International Balkan University is straightforward and exam-free.
