Overview
Students pursuing their psychology major at Hiram learn how to think critically and creatively about psychological phenomena by exploring such topics as:
Statistics and research methods
Individual and group processes
Disability studies
Memory and learning
Sport and exercise psychology
Neuroscience
These topics and others, taught within a rigorous curriculum developed by our experienced faculty, help our Cleveland-area psychology degree students to develop the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in their future careers. Unlike other schools’ programs, Hiram’s psychology major program incorporates actual research into its methods and statistics course. Students learn to use and interpret research and data – skills critical to success after graduation. Students complete this course in the on-campus research lab, which is equipped with SPSS Statistical software, videotaping equipment, facilities for the study of several animal species, and more.
