The FDU Promise/Latino Promise AA to Nursing BSN combined degree program creates a seamless pathway for Latino Promise students to earn both an Associate of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in under five years. Launched in Fall 2025, this innovative program addresses the growing interest in nursing among FDU Promise/Latino Promise students by integrating nursing prerequisites into the associate degree curriculum.
During the two-year AA phase, students take required nursing prerequisites in place of most electives, preparing them for direct entry into the BSN program immediately after graduation. Students who meet the entry requirements during their final AA year can transition into the BSN curriculum, completing the remaining nursing requirements in five semesters (Fall/Spring/Fall/Spring/Summer).
Housed within FDU's Henry P. Becton College of Nursing and Allied Health, this program emphasizes problem solving, critical thinking, and building resilience.
