Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University (EBYU) is a public university located in Erzincan, Turkey, officially established on March 1, 2006, under Law No. 5467. Named after former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, the university was formed by consolidating several existing academic units that had previously been affiliated with Atatürk University in Erzurum. With its motto "A World University in Anatolia," EBYU has rapidly grown into a comprehensive institution serving more than 25,000 students.

Although the university was formally established in 2006, its academic roots run much deeper. The Faculty of Education traces its origins to 1967, when it was first opened as a teacher training school, while the Faculty of Law was founded in 1987. These deep-rooted faculties give EBYU a strong educational heritage that complements its modern institutional framework.

Today, EBYU comprises 12 faculties, 3 institutes, and numerous vocational schools and research centers. The university is recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and holds memberships in the European University Association (EUA), the Magna Charta Observatory, and the Black Sea Universities Network. It participates actively in the Erasmus+ exchange program, fostering international academic collaboration.
