Universities in Cyprus

Cyprus Aydin University was established in 2013. The university, which experienced a rapid growth process following its establishment, started accepting students in 2014 and quickly became a recognized and preferred higher education institution in the TRNC, Turkey and abroad.The university provides education in Turkish and English with a contemporary curriculum to international students from the TRNC, Türkiye and other countries on its modern campus located in Kyrenia, close to the port and city centre.The name of the university, which was named British University of Nicosia when it was founded, was changed to Cyprus Aydin University in 2016 due to confusion with the ' Cyprus Nicosia University' in Southern Cyprus and the effects it had on the processes; with the inspiration taken from the Great Leader Atatürk's saying " The Truest Guide in Life is Science " .

Cyprus West University aims to be a distinguished and respected member of the ever-evolving higher education ecosystem in Northern Cyprus. The Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) approved its establishment on December 8, 2015, under the name “Yüksek Bilim Üniversitesi” (High Science University), and granted preliminary authorization for six undergraduate programs across three faculties.
