Overview
The Acting Department at Beykent University is dedicated to nurturing versatile, creative, and highly skilled actors who are well-prepared to meet the demands of the contemporary performing arts world. Over the course of the four-year undergraduate program, students receive comprehensive training that balances theoretical knowledge with extensive practical experience. Students engage in voice and speech training, movement, improvisation, character analysis, script interpretation, and stagecraft. Emphasis is placed on developing physical awareness, emotional expressiveness, and the ability to collaborate effectively in ensemble settings. The program also encourages critical thinking and self-reflection, helping students to deepen their artistic vision and personal expression.
The education process is enriched through workshops, masterclasses, and seminars led by accomplished artists and theater professionals from both Turkey and abroad, providing valuable exposure to different artistic perspectives and industry standards. Students have opportunities to participate in stage productions, film projects, and festivals, gaining real-world experience and professional readiness.
Admission to the Acting Department is competitive and requires passing a special talent examination designed to assess candidates’ potential and passion for the craft.
The language of instruction is Turkish, and the program duration is 4 years, during which students are encouraged to develop discipline, openness, and versatility to excel in the dynamic field of acting.
