Introduction
In light of rapid global changes in knowledge and technology, as well as health and economic crises affecting global communities, the World Health Organization has emphasized the importance of mental health as a priority for everyone in society. Recognizing this, Ajman University launched the Psychology program in 2018, positioning it as a critical discipline that provides psychological support to individuals, enabling them to effectively cope with life’s challenges. The program addresses societal needs and contributes to sustainable development by fostering resilient, psychologically competent individuals capable of tackling psychological and societal challenges in positive ways.
The program is designed following the latest international standards and is delivered by a diverse faculty holding degrees from renowned global universities. The curriculum is built on modern strategies and methodologies, featuring a wide array of specialized and updated courses in psychology and mental health.
Practical Training
The program includes 300 hours of practical training in various institutions such as hospitals, schools, and counseling centers. Additionally, the department features state-of-the-art psychology laboratories, including:
- Educational Psychology Lab: Conducts experiments on learning, memory, perception, and more.
- Psychological Testing Lab: Houses a range of tools for assessing mental abilities, personality traits, analytical capacities, and psychological disorders.
- Psychometric Statistics Lab: Trains students in advanced statistical software applications.
The combination of theoretical, practical, and hands-on training equips students with the skills necessary to meet the demands of the modern job market, making them competitive candidates for future roles.
Moreover, the department has established the "Quality of Life Center," which focuses on the mental well-being of all university students, especially those within the department, offering exceptional services that distinguish the program.

Graduation Requirements
To obtain a bachelor's degree in Psychology, students must achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 (60%) and complete at least 126 credit hours, including 6 credit hours of training. The program must be completed in no less than 3.5 years and no more than 8 years.
Tuition fees
The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology program comprises a total of 126 credit hours, with a tuition fee of 1,125 AED per credit hour, amounting to approximately 35,437 AED per year.
