Studi sulla famiglia (BA)

The Family Studies (BA) program at VIZJA University is a multidisciplinary undergraduate course designed to provide students with a deep understanding of family dynamics, relationships, and social structures in contemporary society. Spanning three years (six semesters), the program is offered in both Polish and English, welcoming both domestic and international students.

The curriculum draws on insights from psychology, sociology, pedagogy, and social welfare, allowing students to analyze family systems from multiple perspectives. Courses cover topics such as family development across the lifespan, parent-child relationships, communication within families, conflict resolution, and social policies affecting family life. Students also learn methods for assessing family needs and designing interventions to promote healthy functioning and well-being.

Practical experience is a core component of the program. Students participate in workshops, internships, and community projects, gaining hands-on experience in family counseling, social services, and educational settings. They also develop research and analytical skills, learning to design studies, collect and interpret data, and apply evidence-based approaches to support families effectively.

Graduates of the program are prepared for careers as family life educators, social workers, counselors, and specialists in family support organizations, as well as opportunities in public administration and non-governmental organizations. The degree also provides a strong foundation for further study in graduate programs in social work, psychology, or education, enabling students to deepen their expertise and contribute meaningfully to the development and well-being of families in diverse social contexts.

By combining theoretical knowledge, practical training, and research skills, the Family Studies program at VIZJA University equips students with the competencies needed to positively impact the lives of individuals and families in Poland and internationally.
