Chemistry Undergraduate

Graduates in Chemistry will be able to communicate scientific data, concepts, or results clearly and scientifically, both in their native language and in another European Community language, both in written and oral form. They will be able to work in groups, interacting with others, and conduct collaborative activities, including at a multidisciplinary level. Graduates will be able to process and present scientific results and data, including with the aid of multimedia systems, and will be able to describe and communicate general topics in simple and critical terms to both specialists and non-specialists.

Communication skills will be developed by subjecting students to written and oral exams and by inviting them to present scientific papers and seminars throughout their studies. These skills are assessed during the various exams and during the final exam presentation, which requires mastery of the topics covered, clarity, presentation skills, ability to summarize, and the ability to use multimedia tools.

Chemistry graduates have developed learning skills that allow them to undertake further study with a sufficient degree of autonomy and continue their professional development. They are able to work objectively, in a group, or independently, adapting to different work environments and topics.

Learning skills are acquired throughout the various educational activities of the program, as they all require the student to be able, to varying degrees of autonomy, to study and understand concepts of varying degrees of complexity. This ability is further assessed through exams for the various courses and during the thesis, an activity that requires a good degree of autonomy from the student in gathering and processing specialized scientific data and information.
