The Department of Architecture at Beykent University offers a rigorous and comprehensive four-year undergraduate program delivered entirely in English, designed to educate innovative and skilled architects equipped to meet international standards. The program combines intensive architectural design studios with essential theoretical and practical courses, providing a well-rounded education in both the artistic and scientific aspects of architecture.

Students who enroll in the program are required to complete a mandatory English Preparatory Class to enhance their academic language proficiency. However, students who successfully pass the university’s Level Determination and Proficiency Exam can bypass this preparatory year and begin their studies directly in the first year of the architecture program.

The curriculum focuses on the discipline of design and construction, emphasizing the creation, development, and improvement of the built environment with a strong commitment to utility-oriented art, applied science, and modern technology. Students engage in courses covering architectural history, building materials and technologies, environmental design, structural systems, computer-aided design (CAD), and sustainable architecture practices.

Practical learning is integrated throughout the program via studio projects and workshops that foster creative problem-solving and collaborative work, helping students to develop comprehensive architectural solutions. These studio experiences allow students to progress from conceptual design to detailed architectural planning, preparing them for real-world challenges.

An essential feature of the program is the internship requirement, which consists of 40 working days split equally between on-site construction experience and office-based architectural practice. This internship ensures students gain firsthand understanding of professional workflows, project management, and the practical realities of the construction industry.

The academic journey culminates in an independent graduation project during the final year, where students synthesize their acquired knowledge and skills to present an original architectural design solution. This capstone project reflects their readiness to enter the professional field as competent and innovative architects.

Graduates of the program are equipped with the technical expertise, creative vision, and global perspective necessary to contribute effectively to the architectural profession and the broader built environment. The language of instruction is English, ensuring graduates are prepared for international career opportunities in architecture and related fields.
