Erzurum Technical University (ETÜ) is a public university established on 21 July 2010 by law no. 6005 of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. It holds the distinction of being the second state university in Erzurum, the sixth technical university in Turkey, and the first technical university in Eastern Anatolia.

The university commenced academic activities in the 2012-2013 academic year and produced its first graduates in 2015-2016. ETÜ's modern campus spans approximately 4,000 acres and features contemporary faculty buildings, advanced research laboratories, and a central library with a seating capacity of 720 and over 50,000 printed volumes.

ETÜ is a member of the Caucasus University Association and has cooperation protocols with prestigious Turkish institutions including METU and ITU. The university aims to be a leading research hub in the region, contributing to socio-economic development through high-quality technical education and innovation.
