Textile and Fashion Design

When trends and current needs affecting the sector are observed, it is clear that in addition to the need for designers, it is difficult to train qualified professionals who understand the “sector” in a multidimensional way. Branding in design and moving it to international platforms is possible with the presence of professionals who will be trained in this field. In this context, the Department of Textile and Fashion Design, which aims to contribute to qualified labor force at the undergraduate education stage in Türkiye, aims to provide qualified labor force at different levels in order for businesses operating in the sector to be effective on a national and international scale with a multidimensional perspective in practice, focusing on both “Fashion” and “Textile”. The Department of Textile and Fashion Design aims to transform research and observations into original designs that match the needs of the industry with a goal-oriented approach by using creative thinking and analytical interpretation skills, and to transform ideas into textile and fashion projects with commercial value and works of artistic value by using contemporary digital technologies together with appropriate materials and methods. It aims to contribute to the ideal structuring in terms of interdisciplinary cooperation and interaction, as well as to meet the need to train designers with developed aesthetic perception and who can create original values ​​with free approaches in the academic field.
