LSI New York City Intensive 30 with Academic English

LSI New York is located in a beautiful and historic building, designed by the architects who created the iconic Grand Central station. Our language school features state-of-the-art facilities with modern, bright, airy classrooms that offer sweeping views of Battery Park and the Hudson River. Facilities include a computer lab, executive meeting room, free Wi-Fi; and a student lounge where you can relax when not studying for exams.You must be at least 16 years old to attend LSI New York; please note that 16-17 year olds cannot stay in Homestay accommodation - they must either arrange their own accommodation or stay at the Amsterdam student residence. 

Course Description

This immersive program is designed for learners who wish to enhance their English language skills with a focus on academic contexts. Over 30 hours per week, students will engage in a rigorous curriculum that combines intensive language instruction with specialized academic content.

Participants will develop their reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills through a variety of interactive activities, including group discussions, presentations, and research projects. The course emphasizes critical thinking and effective communication, equipping students with the tools necessary for success in academic environments.

Tailored for both pre-university and university-level students, the program also provides guidance on academic writing, citation practices, and study strategies. By the end of the course, learners will feel confident navigating academic texts and participating in discussions, making them well-prepared for further study in English-speaking institutions.
