Program Overview

Our award-winning faculty members teach a wide range of classes on fascinating times and places, from Ancient Greece to Modern China, and on topics that society continues to grapple with, like violence, political power and religion.

Because students of history learn to write well and think clearly, a history major is excellent training for almost any career, including law, business, international relations and journalism.
